We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, hospice care, and assisted living facilities. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes to the nursing staff or relevant professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable.
- A background in assisted living environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for providing care are crucial for success in this role.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
