We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dermatology Nurse to support an insourcing project aimed at reducing outpatient waiting times within NHS services in Scotland. The role involves delivering high-quality dermatological care, supporting clinics, and assisting with minor procedures in collaboration with the dermatology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing care to patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions.
- Assist in outpatient dermatology clinics, including triage, patch testing, phototherapy, and minor procedures.
- Support consultants with skin assessments, lesion mapping, and treatment planning.
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry in line with NHS protocols.
- Maintain high standards of infection control, patient confidentiality, and clinical governance.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant dermatology experience.
- Previous experience working in outpatient dermatology settings (NHS experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
