Eoin joins EHG with experience across NHS services, healthcare recruitment and complex care, bringing with him a clear understanding of the realities vulnerable individuals, families, and clinicians face every day.
During COVID, Eoin worked within the NHS supporting patient discharge and coordinating community care packages for individuals with complex needs.
“It was manic, and I thrived in the chaos,” he explained. “A lot of the role was speaking directly with patients. I always saw people as individuals. I think a large part of this comes from the work my mum does as a Palliative Care Nurse, and my work in the NHS.”
Working within overstretched services gave Eoin first-hand insight into the pressures facing healthcare teams and the importance of quality, person-centred support.
“Huge caseloads. Understaffed teams. You recognised very quickly how badly people needed the right support around them.”
What stood out most to Eoin about complex care was the ability to work closely with individuals and families while helping build greater independence and quality of life.
“Allowing people to live the life they deserve to live.” That belief aligns closely with EHG’s approach to Complex Care. Delivering clinically led, person-centred support that focuses not only on care needs, but on dignity, trust, consistency and independence.
When asked what good Complex Care looks like in practice, Eoin’s answer was simple: “Person-centred. Always about the individual.”
