Why Wellbeing Events Matter in Complex Care

Why Wellbeing Events Matter in Complex Care

On Friday 19th June, Eleventh Hour Group will be joining professionals from across the complex care, rehabilitation and charitable sectors at Active Care in the Home’s Wellbeing Event in Wolverhampton.

Our Complex Care team, represented by Dan and Aaliyah, is proud to be part of a day dedicated to sharing knowledge, strengthening collaboration and, most importantly, improving outcomes for people living with complex needs.

In health and social care, wellbeing extends far beyond physical health. It encompasses emotional resilience, independence, rehabilitation, family support, social inclusion and access to the right expertise at the right time. Events like this create an opportunity for organisations from across the care pathway to come together, exchange ideas and continue raising standards across the sector.

Bringing together expertise from across the care pathway

The Wellbeing Event has brought together an impressive range of organisations that each play a vital role in supporting individuals following life-changing injuries or diagnoses.

The agenda includes presentations from:

The Silver Lining Brain Injury Charity
Headway
Spinal Injuries Association
Blind Veterans UK
One Punch UK
AJ Case Management
CYP
MND Association
Eleventh Hour Group

Alongside presentations from Active Care in the Home’s leadership team, the programme reflects just how many specialist organisations are involved in supporting individuals and families throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Each organisation brings a unique perspective. Some provide specialist rehabilitation support, others offer advocacy, community services, case management or charitable assistance. Together, they demonstrate that achieving the best outcomes is rarely the responsibility of one provider alone. It depends on partnership.

Who are Active Care in the Home?

Active Care in the Home, part of Active Care Group, provides specialist complex care services for children, young people and adults living with conditions including acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions and respiratory needs.

Their model focuses on delivering personalised care within people’s own homes while promoting independence, improving quality of life and supporting families throughout the care journey. With more than 30 years of specialist experience across the wider Active Care Group, they have become one of the UK’s leading providers of complex care services.

Hosting an event dedicated to wellbeing demonstrates a recognition that delivering outstanding care is about more than clinical interventions. It is also about learning from one another, sharing experiences and continually improving practice.

Dan’s message: Raising standards in complex care

During the event, Dan will be speaking about an issue that has become increasingly apparent through conversations with organisations specialising in brain injury and catastrophic injury support.

Across these discussions, a common concern has emerged: a perceived decline in the consistency and quality of care being delivered across parts of the sector.

While there are many exceptional providers doing outstanding work every day, increasing demand, workforce pressures and the growing complexity of people’s needs mean that maintaining high standards has never been more important.

At Eleventh Hour Group, we believe quality should never be compromised.

Every individual deserves care that is tailored to their circumstances, delivered by skilled professionals and focused on helping them achieve meaningful independence rather than simply meeting daily needs.

That philosophy underpins everything our Complex Care team does. Collaboration benefits everyone. No single organisation has every answer.

Whether someone is living with a brain injury, spinal injury, neurological condition or another complex diagnosis, successful outcomes often rely on close collaboration between healthcare professionals, support workers, therapists, case managers, charities and families.

Events like this create opportunities to build those relationships.

They encourage open conversations about challenges, celebrate examples of best practice and inspire new ways of working together for the benefit of the people who matter most: those receiving care.

Looking forward to the day

We’re looking forward to meeting fellow professionals, hearing from the excellent line-up of speakers and contributing to important conversations around quality, wellbeing and independence.

If you’re attending the Active Care in the Home Wellbeing Event, we’d love to meet you.

Come and speak with Dan and Aaliyah to learn more about Eleventh Hour Group’s personalised approach to complex care, discuss partnership opportunities or simply share your experiences from across the sector.

Together, we can continue raising the standard of care and helping more people live healthier, safer and more independent lives.
